JCU Library needed a facelift, and was required to be completed in between semesters. The lower level of the library was totally stripped out and had totally new flooring and ceiling linings and new lighing installed. Additional seating and enclosed zones were created to maximise the use of the spaces, which enhanced student privacy and maintained a peaceful ambiance. Meeting rooms were also refurbished which now facilitates the ability to have large singular events or mulitple small events accessing the same space and technology is easily managed between all users requiring access. In additon to creating a functional space, the new look library is a modern attractive architecturally pleasing building.
